Stevens 200 action is the same as one used for more costly savage model 110. The stock it has on it is the stock that it came with from the factory but it is spray painted. My tightest group i've ever shot was out of my.223 stevens 200,.

The trigger, although not too soft, enables accurate fire with relatively short pull.
The rifle is in ok condition it has fired over 400 rounds. As with all my other savage rifles the groups should tighten after 100 rounds or so. 200 by savage arms.223 rem. My stevens 200 will put a hornady 70 gr.

Plenty of upgrade parts available, cheap to shoot, and.223 is a great round to learn how to reload with. Savage/stevens 200 another +1 for a stevens 200 in 5.56/.223. If the.223 will do that i will be pleased. The stevens 200 is pretty much the old savage model 10 rifle.
After honing the sear a bit (and i mean just a bit) and setting the trigger spring at it's lightest possible tension while still maintaining a good latch, i can get 1/2 groups at 100 yards with hornady's 55sx and 55 vmax, both, with h4895 and cci450 primers.

I don't know if they meant the stevens 200 in.223 or the stevens 200 itself. I went to the gun store to order a stevens 200 in.223 last week. Stevens 200 is a great platform for a beater or a cheap kustum.
