It's the savage/stevens model 200 in.223 remington.

The stock it has on it is the stock that it came with from the factory but it is spray painted.
I suggest getting a tighter fitting jag and recheck it. New to stevens model 200 in.223 i believe the 1:12 twist works best for smaller weight bullets and the 1:9 works better with the heavier. Based on greenhill's equasion, velocity less than 2800 fps, using copper jacketed lead bullets. Hand guns ship 2nd day.
If you want to really get the most distance from your 223 the 95gr w/ a g7 b.c.
The stevens 200 is a great buy.but before i'd buy one and drop a sss trigger in for $100 i'd suggest looking at a t3 tikka in syn/blue in 223.possibly w/8 twist. Edited october 30, 2021 by pickaroon. This is a nice entry level hunting rifle. Twist rates of common firearms.

T r u m p w o n ! (my t3 ss varmint 223 is 8 twist) you'd be the same $$ in the rifles plus have a very decent trigger.better barrel & a drop mag. The rifle is in ok condition it has fired over 400 rounds.

Since no rifles are chambered in 1:8.3, a twist of 1:8 or faster would be required to shoot this bullet.
The saami interchangeability warning for the.223 and 5.56 didn't come out until 1979 with the introduction of the military m855 round and the m16s newer longer throat and twist rate change.
