I am a 5 and buy a 38 but i appreciate the extra space as i have a dodgy left foot that needs a bigger footbed and plus i like to wear boots with walking/ski socks and both the black and the green doras allow for this.
Just wondered if anyone had the boots to see if they are the same?
I got the leather welt monkey boots that graeme was looking at and the quality of the uppers are excellent. They have a comfy pvc sole. Solovair greasy monkey boot in black. The black tab reads 'solovair made in england since 1881'.

Exclusive to us is this slightly different monkey boot. 100% made in uk with the original solovair sole. Solovair's sizing guide comes with insole length measurements for all of their lasts, so it was fairly easy to size these monkey boots correctly. Local taxes included and free returns!
The insole length of the last to find the correct size, but i don't want my shoes to fit like football cleats.
Toastcosiloveit **@faustina**, i would say the toast solovair are similar to the dealer solovair, ie they come up slightly bigger. I’m hoping the sole is easier to replace. We have had these made by the original solovair factory in northampton. Handmade in wollaston, northamptonshire, england.
