The m600 was initially released in 1985, the black variant first followed by burgundy in 1989 and then green striated in 1990. I have an m600 rollerball that is the perfect size for me. Compared with the m200, the m600 is longer and fatter.

When it comes to pelikan, the subtle changes in length and girth add up to big differences in comfort.
The neo standard just feels so nice and snug for my hand just like how a pelikan m1000 does for me.
I expected nothing less from the m600. There’s more pen to this pen. At the time of their introduction, these pens were the same size as the m400 which was reintroduced a few years earlier. If i would to pay full retail price on this pen, i might.

I guess you get what you pay for? Though there's obviously a noticeable size difference between the two. It may be considered too small if you do not post your pens. I love the m600, and have long expressed a desire for pelikan to do more with that model in terms of special and limited releases.
I have very large hands and am wondering if i would be better suited to the m800 in a fountain.
Depending on the year of release, the m600 can be found in… Back when i first reviewed pens from pelikan’s flagship souveran collection, i only had one: Our most popular type of pen is a fountain pen and so we have put together a size comparison of the fountain pens from the the epoch, pura, souveran and ductus ranges. I had problems with the threads but the m600’s threads were much better.

Whereas the m300 is only 11cm capped (for a reference, a kaweco sport is about 10.5cm capped!), the m600 is 13.4cm. I am just speaking from personal experience and observation.as many of you know, i am obsessed. Pelikan m600 nib unit 14k two tone. Souverän m300, vintage pelikan 400, tradition 205, souverän m600, m805, m1000. Here is a size comparison with my pelikan m200. It’s a great daily writer and a workhorse. I found the m400 slightly too small for my hand.

The great nakaya size comparison october 17, 2017 10. I sold my m205 after i did the review. When i’m shopping around online for a pelikan m600 green/black with medium nib i see it listed with different product numbers which is rather confusing. I prefer the length of the m600, uncapped, not posted.

The girth feels just about right for me. I’m not particularly surprised by this. I enjoyed the grip section of the m600 way more than the m205. When i bought a m215 (which is nearly the same size as a m400) i was disappointed at the size.
In the above comparison, it is important to note that the m600 in the centre could be considered a 'normal' sized pen.
And definitely prefer it to the m600 and m1000 that i have, and i have very large (male) hands. These measurements are of the pen capped and come from the official pelikan website. The m600 is very light, posts well, and fits perfectly in a shirt pocket.
