The nightbreakers have a clear ring around the filament so you get more light and it looks whiter too.
I also note that the new night breaker laser claims to be a +130 bulb, which would be an osram catch. They have a longer life version too. This offers a boost in performance. 5 out of 5 stars.

I wanted h4 night breaker unlimited. Silverstar ultra is a blue coated bulb. As osram night breaker unlimited is a maximum performance bulb, it uses a mixture of xenon and halogen gas. The original nb had a reputation for poor life.

Checked out online reviews, tests and videos of both bulbs and it appears that they both have very similar performance in terms of brightness, colour temp and beam pattern/reach etc. The highly engineered filament ensures an extra light boost. I was originally sent h7 cool blue boost by mistake so i reordered and got the h4 night breaker laser. The bright halogen light in most standard types.
Consequently, the lamps provide an up to 150m long beam and up to 20% whiter light compared to the minimum legal standard.

I don’t have a lux meter so cannot quantify how much brighter but my eyemeter say, colour is like 100k more and light output/brightness is a noticeable improvement compared to the oem.
I would go with nightbreaker. Have any of you fitted these and, if so, were they that good? Remember that the b3 figure is the minimum period that 97% are expected to last. Use osram h7 night breaker unlimited on my saga flx, 1 of the bulb already burnt after 7 months, the bulb is not durable at all, if you check on amazon the night breaker laser lifespan is only around 6 months.

I note that the blue coating is considerably darker (less light transmission) than the previous night breaker unlimited. Better performance, better life span. They claim to produce 90% more light, 10% more white light and a 35m longer beam. They then updated it to the nb plus, then the unlimited, and now the laser.
So overall very happy with the upgrade.
