I actually got these measurements after the banquette was built because other woodworkers or diy homeowners were asking for the information on a regular basis.
What is a kitchen banquette? Ideally, you need a minimum of 27 inches of space for each person to sit comfortably. The benches or banquette dimensions have a seat height of 14 inches (36cm) and a seat height of 15 inches (38cm). The total height of our banquette (including back) was 39 7/8″.
The backs should be angled back slightly and can be any height, including just a bench with no back.

My rule of thumb is that the finished height should be about 18″ high and the bench depth should be about 18″ deep, but can be more or less depending on your space and preference. The base is not attached to the floor in any way, it simply sits on the floor. Standard width for a bench is. Having this understanding of the standard booth dimensions used in restaurant seating makes creating a layout much easier.
