Unclipped flush valve, lift, tilt and removed from cistern. Geberit dual flush valve leak. But the level in the cistern isn’t at the overflow on the flush mechanism, not that i can see.

So is it the fill valve or flush mechanism that needs to be replaced, (or both)?
My problem is that when at rest and filled i have a small weep of water.
The one i received was an original geberit product. You have to replace the flush valve rubber. It might be attributable to the flapper being out of place. The geberit cistern flush valve is letting water leak past into the bowl.
The small button may initially work some of the time.

Do they have to be geberit replacements, or will fluidmsster etc fit ok? There are no metal rods, bolts, or chains that will corrode, no rubber parts that can degrade and cause leaks or failures. Hi i have a geberit dual flush with the blue square on the button. It was colorless & translucent, while the original gasket was gray & opaque. Both the geberit flush valve and fill valve are precision. The flush pipe was not supported when fitted and was dropping every time flushed.
