Except for the “us” there are no marks. Original stock with brass furniture however signs of an old repair are visible please see images. This musketoon is in great condition for its age. It has brass furnishing with a bright barrel, frizzen, and lock plate.

Designed for cavalry use, this short barreled flintlock has a sling ring bar attached to the brass barrel band running back to the rear side plate screw. British georgian flintlock heavy musketoon the lock plate engraved with tower and g r below the crown the large brass barrel struck with good clear proof marks and with flared muzzle. Brass furniture is fine, and the wood is fine with no cracks or chips. Metal is smooth and bright with very light staining.
