Yes launching late December 2015 will be the DCA1820 This adapter will allow people with 18V stem top tools to use the newer 20V MAX batteries. Got some new adapters for my old 18V XRP tools. The 20V batteries will not charge on the 18V chargers however using this adapter so the user will also need a 20V MAX charger.

And it will also work with any 18v tool if you modify the adapter note it will void any warranty but it is just a 50 adapter.
