A tripod isn’t essential but i do recommended them. To do this extreme canyoning adventure you need to have very high fitness levels and previous abseiling and canyoning experience. It boasts a rich environment, full of life and greenery, towering sandstone walls and intricate rock architecture.
Just a quick note though the claustral canyon is not an easy trek but if you are fit and enjoy amazing scenery put it in the list and go with eagle rock they were fantastic!!!

Just a quick note though the claustral canyon is not an easy trek but if you are fit and enjoy amazing scenery put it in the list and go with eagle rock they were fantastic!!! We climb up through “rainbow ravine”, gaining 320m of elevation as we top out on the camel’s hump, before descending back in to the top of claustral brook for another section of vibrant canyon and a few cold swims. If you haven't done this yet i would strongly recomened! This canyon has been described as one of the most beautiful places in australia.

Claustral canyon is a beautiful, deep and sustained slot canyon in the blue mountains. So ed had just about run out of awesome photos to edit awesomely into awesomer photos of our awesomest trip to claustral with lewis last season. Anyway back to our lovely motel to ‘gear up’ before driving north to the start of the track. It boasts a rich environment, full of life and greenery.

To enter a canyon is to enter another world. Here, a light beam lights up the ferns on either side of the slot. This canyon has been described as one of the most beautiful places in australia.
