Last night i finally got around to using the plastidip wheel kit i bought months ago. 4 12.5% total voters 32; At least now i know i will be ordering bronze colored wheels when the time comes.

It changes depending on how the light hits it. I've used anthracite many times, here it is on 3 rims that i have done, all topped with 2 coats of glossifier. It came with 4 cans, cleaner, 4 brake protectors, a rag, and dip release. Each additional coat gives plasti dip smoke a darker, deeper hue—from gray to charcoal to black, all with the same distinct smokiness.

After 4 coats i added 2 coats of a clear gloss dip i got from hd.

Black base and order a quart of the new top coat with your desired pearl mixed in, use a preval sprayer or the dyc gun to spray it on.

I have about half a can of grey left.
Not hating on your wheels at all, i support anyone who mods their car because they like it or thats what they can afford but dont knock other people just because you dont like it. Unique among plasti dip varieties, plasti dip smoke’s color changes gradually as more coats are added. You can also use pearls for this. 11 34.4% anthracite grey votes: The custom colors can only be purchased online as far as i know. After one or two coats, it’s a light, smoky gray. Hyperdip® is still peelable like plasti dip, however improved in every way.
Plasti dip smoke is available in 11 oz.
Maybe i would dip my mirror caps, lower rear bumper and the front. Application and clean up was as easy as advertised. I had bought a box of 6 anthracite gray cans for my e55 and only used a few before i sold the merc. Black and white can be purchased locally like a home depot or lowes.
I did 4 coats of the grey, and 1 wet coat of gloss plastidip.

Total time i would say 3 hours, and most of those time is waiting for the dip to dry so you can put on the next coat.
The anthracite grey is a cool color. I want to plasti dip mine anthracite gray on these rims. Took 2 cans of the grey, and 1 can of the glossifier, for the 4 wheels. Plasti dip spoiler and grille:

I was thinking of wet sanding as it looking like if you use enough lubricant it wont rip cause my entire rim is texture like an orange almost. The 5 coats are just for coverage (making sure i got every corner), not for layering on the dip.
I just followed what others have done and took the wheels off and put the notecards around the wheel to keep the spray off the tires.
Anyone plasti dip any 2015 rims yet?
