One solution is to use a generic 52mm screw in lens hood. Please make sure that you study the differences before buying. However, for a little more aperture room for a tc, i have been thinking about a 200mm f2.8 prime lens. The five zoom lens groups have been improved to obtain higher image quality.
200mm f2.8 + 2x tc and i am at f5.6 vs f8 for an f4 lens.
