The 200mm f/2.0 lens is a dream lens for almost every portrait photographer. Get reward points buy more and save quantity discount. Would not trade this lens for a heavier and bulky 2.8. Or $109 /mo suggested payments with 6‑month special financing.

So why do so few photographers own this lens?
Hopefully, this information, along with some of these pictures, helps you get a better sense of what different lenses can do. The focus ring is smooth, but the zoom ring is a bit rough. The quantity discount will be reflected in. It's not fitting into your travel bag nor is it at home at a friend's party.
The autofocus and aperture function properly, and the glass is clean and clear with no haze, marks, or fungus.
I rate it cosmetically a (9+). Older lenses may not be quite up to snuff when it comes to the spatial resolution of. This lens had saved me in many such situations. Very easy to use not a burden to carry around for travel photo!
It's size is the byproduct of an optical design that really makes few, if any compromises.
Part of my problem is that i’m using the “d af” versions of the 50mm and 105mm.
