I want to compare the results for a very distant subject (like the moon) to a far subject (may be 1km away) and a nearer subject (around 100 meter away). Nikkor lens comparisons 200mm vs 300mm. Main advantage is extra reach, but only very slightly.

A shorter minimum focus distance allows you to get closer to your subject, and is particularly important when doing macro photography.
Halo, i need clarification on buying wideangle zoom lense for nikon d7200.
Is it really need lower aperture lenses for widela: The 1.2m close focus of the da* 200mm compares especially well against the 200mm canon equivalent with a close focus of 1.5m. Here are the lens panels i shot for each against a clear blue sky. Intro images comparison table recommendations.
Choosing a great zoom lens can be quite a difficult decision.
See lens crop test here. 200mm/ aperture priority (f/5.6, 1/2500 sec)/ iso 400/ wb: All shots taken with the d300 mounted on a tripod. Start date dec 31, 2008;
This is nikon's sharpest tele zoom.
3) canon 600mm is 4l + canon 2x extender. I'm confused about the 200mm and the 300mm zoom ranges. This isn't scientific at all and not really fair because one lens is a prime and the other is a zoom, but it's what i've got. Also since it would be a great idea to add some 100%crops.
Both have a similar amount of vignetting that’s most pronounced at 300mm at larger apertures.
Another comparison between the two lenses at 105mm and 135mm focal lengths: Take a look at the two images below. This is the closest distance that the lens can focus. All photos were shot at f8 on a canon 5d mark iii.
If you are a starting photographer who’s already tired with the kit lens that came with your camera, you are probably looking for a camera with a bit more zoom to get farther shots without having to move very close to your target.
This is a magnification comparison between the following lens/configurations: Has a silent focus motor built into the lens. However, this is only one factor of the difference between these lenses. Budget camera + lenses (in the future) vs saving and buying a better camera body:
To similar to what you have to justify the downsides (weight, cost, size).
I am looking for some examples of the same subject, in order to visualize the difference between 200mm and 300mm focal lengths. They sell used for around $100 today.
