I think using the oil is fine just change more thats with any oil except the very high priced stuff. Take the the 20w50, it's fine, the key to oil is changing often, it's over all a cheap product to save a valuable engine. Not bad compared to the valvoline at ~$7/qt. So don't get hung up on the competition title they put on it.
Choosing the proper motor oil is a necessity.
