Any one brand would do just makesure they are original. The 50 is not going to flow as well at lower temps as a 30 would. An exception to above relaxation would be not to go to extremes.

For 10w40 motor oils, they tend to be a bit thicker than the 5w40 but still, rather thin and tend to work well in lubricating moving parts of engines during startup.

A 40 or 50 is going to stand up to more heat than a 20 or 30. 20w50 motor oil is relatively viscous and thick. It was a euro brand xtc . Oil gets like water when the bike is constantly at 230+ degrees.
One is 10 and the other is 20.

Honestly, i'd go with a 20w50 instead. The 20w indicates how quickly the engine will start when cold or in cold weather. They arent too thick for new motors with tighter bearing clerances like. Need some professional advice before i make the change!

It was a move from 5/20 to 10/20 or 10 to 5 ,some very minor move, and management was on us hard to use the right oil in the right car. This greater resistance to flow can also increase engine operating temperature. Viscosity is measured by heating oil and timing how long it takes to run through a specifically sized hole. If your manufacturer recommends engine oil of grade xw40, you should not use any oil below 40.

A 20w50 is heavier but thicker than a 10w30. Now a move from 5/30 to 20/50 that is quite a move, and one that needs an explaination. You should not use any engine oil with a lower ‘y’ rating.
