· 8y · edited 8y. The 50 ae was designed to fir a particular platform the desert eagle. 50 sw can be loaded to desert eagle levels and is easier to reload and cheaper to buy brass for. I would assume the.50 ae to be going supersonic.
If you are not going to shoot that i would recomend one of the other large bores.
